How to choose a zodiac necklace

Start with her sign. The coins follow the tropical zodiac, and sign dates can shift by a day from year to year, so double-check a birthday on the cusp. Each sign has its own stone: Capricorn garnet, Aquarius amethyst, Pisces aquamarine, Aries a natural diamond, Taurus emerald, Gemini a genuine freshwater pearl, Cancer ruby, Leo peridot, Virgo blue sapphire, Libra opal, Scorpio topaz and Sagittarius tanzanite.

Turn the coin over and you see the constellation as it sits in the sky, its stars flush-set in lab-grown CVD diamonds. One star is different: the brightest, such as Spica for Virgo or Regulus for Leo, holds the sign's birthstone. The glyph on the front is set with lab-grown diamond pavé. Choose the finish: thick yellow gold plating, rose gold plating or rhodium, all over nickel-free 925 silver. The pendant is 16.9 mm across and 2.5 mm thick and comes on a 16 inch cable chain with a 2 inch extender. The soldered bail fits chains up to 3 mm, if she prefers to layer it on her own.

The constellation stars and glyph pavé are lab-grown CVD diamonds, which are real diamond grown in a lab, and we label them as lab-grown. The birthstone at the brightest star is a natural gemstone, or a genuine freshwater pearl for Gemini; for Aries it is one natural earth-mined diamond.
