The finish

CVD lab-grown diamond, cut by hand in Surat

The stone is a CVD lab-grown diamond, grown by chemical vapour deposition and then brilliant cut and polished by hand in Surat, India's diamond-cutting centre. It has the same chemical, physical and optical properties as a mined diamond: the same carbon crystal, hardness, brilliance and fire. It is not moissanite, cubic zirconia or any other diamond simulant, and it passes a standard diamond tester. Because it is grown above ground, no mining is involved and every stone is conflict-free. We always label our lab-grown diamonds as lab-grown.

The everyday diamond necklace

A quarter carat round brilliant, about 4 mm across, catches the light with every move and is easy to wear every day. On the 16 inch chain the stone sits just below the collarbone: polished for the office, special enough for an evening out or a wedding, and easy to layer with longer chains.
